We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Container Platform expert to collaborate with our client on a Proof of Concept (PoC) project. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform 4, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes, and Migration Toolkit for Applications (MTA). This role involves reviewing and adapting existing automation processes for a VMware migration use case.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review the High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) of the existing automation processes, focusing on the pop v2 framework.
  • Adapt the automation processes to fit the VMware takeout use case, emphasizing storage components.
  • Deploy a test platform to facilitate the migration process.
  • Assist the customer in migrating test applications from VMware to OpenShift, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of the migration strategy.
  • Provide expert guidance and support throughout the migration process, addressing any challenges that arise.
  • Document processes, findings, and best practices for future reference.
Requirements
  • Proven experience with OpenShift Container Platform 4 at an expert and advanced level.
  • Strong knowledge of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Migration Toolkit for Applications (MTA) and its application in migration scenarios.
  • Experience in reviewing and adapting automation processes for cloud migrations, particularly from VMware to OpenShift.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications in OpenShift, Red Hat, or related technologies are a plus.
