As a key member of our French Finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and optimizing our financial performance. You will oversee accounting operations, produce insightful financial reports, and improve current practices to maximize efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance to ensure financial objectives are met or exceeded.
- Enforce relevant policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management and control.
- Ensure the efficient, timely, and accurate management of finance activities.
- Plan, organize, and continuously improve processes in accordance with Subsea 7 global ways of working.
- Develop a constructive and professional relationship with stakeholders.
- Facilitate the execution of the Business Unit budget and plan by setting clear objectives for direct reports.
- Provide strategic direction, leadership, and mentoring to the finance team.
Role-Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee statutory and tax filings in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Provide insightful analysis on financial performance and position.
- Work with Group Tax to minimize exposure and ensure local compliance requirements are met.
- Ensure optimum cash generation and consumption and working capital in coordination with Group Treasury.
- Responsible for financial controls and compliance for countries in scope.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Supervision of GPC East France/UK cost control tasks.
- Analysis of entity transfer pricing profit centers.
- Analysis of non-GPC East Region P&L items impacting French entities.
- Production of a Full Analytical review of entity P&L.
- Monitoring of tax payments to the French authorities.
Annual Analysis:
- Analysis of statutory accounts on interim and annual closings.
- Annual budget process and definition of personnel hourly rates.
- Preparation of the "Comptes Prévisionnels" based on the Legal Entity forecast.
Management:
The role involves the direct management of 1 Accounting Manager, 4 accountants, and 3 Cost Controllers.
Requirements:
- Top-level Master's degree.
- Knowledge of French taxes, French local GAAP, and IFRS accounting standards.
- 10 years of work experience in Finance, in an international environment.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Experience as a team leader/manager.
- Both analytical and synthesis mindset.
- Ability to translate numbers into words.
- Pack office.
- Knowledge of SAP/BFC is a plus.
- Fluent English and French.
