As a key member of Group-Ips, you will oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of complex industrial projects involving substantial investments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and other stakeholders, to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects while meeting the IPS quality- and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Strategy:
- Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structure, resource allocation, and project scheduling.
- Formulate project strategies, risk management plans, and contingency measures.
- Define and organize internal staff planning.
- Project Execution and Monitoring:
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budget.
- Manage and lead project teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct regular project status meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish clear project communication channels.
- Facilitate effective communication and manage expectations among team members, contractors, vendors, and clients.
- Resolve conflicts and address issues arising during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure alignment of project objectives with stakeholders' needs and requirements.
- Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop project budgets, considering resource requirements, procurement, and contingency planning.
- Monitor project expenses, track costs, and implement measures to control and optimize expenditures.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and payment requests in accordance with project guidelines.
- Oversee the profitability of Group-Ips within the project and organize required scope changes.
- Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:
- Establish quality standards, inspection procedures, and quality control measures.
- Monitor project deliverables to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Implement and enforce safety policies, conduct safety audits, and promote a culture of safety among team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically overseeing large CAPEX industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, and industrial standards.
- Extreme flexibility for traveling within Europe.
- Ability to manage multiple sub-projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permits related to industrial projects.
- Certification in project management (PMP) is desirable.
