Air Liquide France Industrie brings together the production and marketing of industrial gases in France, with four complementary business lines: Large Industry, Industrial Merchant, Electronics, and Hydrogen. Our subsidiary has 2,300 employees at 80 sites across the country, serving over 300,000 customers, from artisans to petrochemical manufacturers.

We are seeking a Process Optimization Engineer to join our team in the newly created Remote Operations Control Center (ROCC). The ROCC aims to optimize all gas production sites in France, Italy, and Iberia, and to define and implement the associated production plans.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Applying the defined operating plan based on customer consumption and recommendations from the energy purchasing team.
- Nominating energy consumption across all sites to optimize energy purchasing in real-time.
- Ensuring non-automated production control via dedicated interfaces.
- Adjusting set points for pressures/flows of gas and liquid productions to optimize energy efficiency remotely.
- Launching automatic start/stop sequences (e.g., liquefiers, compressors).
- Communicating in real-time with clients regarding their consumption in both normal and degraded situations.
- Supervising the status of all delivery points.
- Managing production incidents by ensuring backup production means are operational and analyzing possible production scenarios.
- Coordinating real-time operations with sites for manual interventions.
Additionally, you will ensure the global optimization of units in real-time by:
- Adapting the operating plan in real-time based on customer consumption variations, energy coordination recommendations, and operational constraints.
- Communicating in real-time with clients and experts to help define future operating plans.
- Participating in the development of efficiency projects by providing information on operating modes.
- Contributing to the deployment of the operational excellence program by participating in efficiency improvement projects.
- Developing and using real-time Big Data tools, analysis, and predictive maintenance.
Are You a Good Fit?
You hold a degree from an engineering school with a specialization in Process Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Production/Optimization. You have desired experience in the operation and optimization of continuous industrial processes. Knowledge or interest in Data/Big Data is highly desired. You speak English and Spanish (mandatory languages). You demonstrate the following key competencies:
