**Your Mission**

We are looking for an** Interim Head of Government Relations (6-month contractor/CDD)** to join the Government Relations team at BlaBlaCar.

As Head of Government Relations, your role will be to manage our international Government Relations team and build the Public Affairs strategy of the company across our key markets, in line with the company’s business objectives. Among your duties, you’ll oversee the company's interactions with government bodies, policymakers, and other stakeholders to fuel positive public policy decisions and advocate for the company's interests.

You will be reporting to BlaBlaCar’s General Secretary.

**Your Responsibilities**:
- ** Strategic Monitoring and Analysis**:Monitor, with your team, public policy and regulatory developments affecting BlaBlaCar at national, EU and international levels, providing guidance to leadership on potential impacts.
- ** Advocacy and Influence Strategy**:Develop advocacy strategies and coordinate responses to public consultations. Represent BlaBlaCar’s interests with policymakers and regulators.
- ** Institutional Relations**:Manage relationships with external stakeholders (public, regulators, institutions) to influence policy decisions at national and international levels and protect the company’s interests.
- ** Sector Representation**:Represent BlaBlaCar in industry groups and trade associations, promoting its interests and engaging in regulatory discussions.
- ** Strategic guidance**:Advise internal teams on the impact of public policies and regulations, ensuring awareness of their effects on business operations.
- ** Team Leadership**:Lead the government relations and public affairs team, ensuring proactive engagement and effective communication with external stakeholders.

**Your Qualifications**:
- 10 years of experience in public affairs, in an agency, in the tech sector, or within government (ministerial cabinet, senior civil service).
- In-depth knowledge of how institutions operate in France and at the European level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
- Proven experience in team management.
- Demonstrated ability to implement effective, lean public affairs strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- International experience or experience in the environmental or digital sectors is a plus.
