Pixaera is seeking a **Data Engineer** with deep expertise in building scalable data systems and a passion for empowering teams through reliable, actionable insights. Join us in shaping how data drives the future of immersive safety training.

You’ll be at the forefront of designing and maintaining **robust, high-performance data pipelines** and systems that fuel analytics, platform intelligence, and content personalization across Pixaera’s learning ecosystem. Your work will ensure data flows seamlessly across teams—enabling smarter decisions, richer experiences, and measurable business impact.

**Non-Negotiable Skills / Experiences**:

- Significant professional experience as a **Data Engineer**.
- Strong background in **Python** and SQL.
- Experience deploying data solutions to **production environments** (AWS).
- Proficiency with **data warehousing tools** like Snowflake and **data transformation tools** like DBT.
- Proven ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts and trade-offs.
- Strong grounding in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Experience with **performance optimization** of data pipelines.
- Solid software engineering practices: testing, code review, CI/CD.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a **fully remote** environment.
- Excellent written and spoken English.

**Nice to Have**
- Experience with **omni** or similar data intelligence/business intelligence tools..
- Knowledge of various data sources, especially internal data produced by training content from postgres.
- Background in game development or simulation environments.
- Ability to mentor junior colleagues or cross function.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build and scale data-driven features that power Pixaera’s learning platform.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable **data pipelines** for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Work with internal data produced by training content and other data sources.
- Ensure data systems are monitored, reliable, and continuously improving.
- Collaborate with backend/frontend engineers and data scientists to integrate data seamlessly.
- Write efficient, testable, reusable components and APIs.
- Advocate and implement **best practices** in data engineering and data governance.
- Mentor and support junior engineers where applicable.

**Qualifications**:

- ** 5+ years of experience** in Data Engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in **Python data stack** and SQL.
- Experience deploying data systems to **production at scale**.
- Understanding of data pipelines, data warehousing, and data governance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and outcome-focused.
