**Your role**
You will join the Automotive, Mechanics and machinability department within the ArcelorMittal Research Center Bars & Wires dedicated to develops steel solutions for long products.
Within the automotive, mechanics and machinability team, you will participate to research projects aiming at developing new grades and components solutions in steel for new vehicle with regards to lightweighting, sustainability or cost efficiency.
You need to have solid knowledge in the field of automotive and mechanical design.
In a context of e-mobility and decarbonization, you will be required to design solutions on automotive components (in conjunction with manufacturers and OEM's), using steels developed in our laboratory.
In this context, your main activities will be:
- Participation to multidiciplinary projects (methodology, product, process, testing,..)
- Analysis and use of CAD models
- Finite Element Analysis, simulations with softwares
- Relationship of partners and/or subcontractors providing results to the project.
- Participation to the Creativity and Quality process
**Your profile**
- You hold a Masters' degree or a PhD in Engineering specialized in Automotive Mechanics design.
- A first experience with cars manufacturers, OEM or Tier-1 would be a plus.
- You have knowledge in mechanical Engineering, in automotive industry and in finite element simulation.
- You are fluent in French and in English.
- German language practice would be a plus.
- You are innovative, curious and results oriented.
- You have outstanding communication skills, excellent social skills when working on a project with a multi-cultural environment.
- You are willing to travel worldwide.
