What you'll do:

  • Leads a team of internal staff and contractors, including higher-level ICs, ensuring alignment with vision and values.
  • Owns technical vision and output for a specialized domain, setting high standards and best practices.
  • Balances technical excellence with pragmatic trade-offs to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Organizes teamwork, sets goals, and holds the team accountable while driving execution.
  • Provides coaching, feedback, and career development support; oversees recruiting and performance management.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and manages vendors to deliver on roadmap priorities.
  • Partners with leadership on strategy, technical direction, and resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record managing engineering teams and supporting professional growth.
  • Strong cloud knowledge with AWS, GCP, or Azure; skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, etc.).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and , with experience in React or similar frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices, API design, and cloud security best practices.
  • Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience (or equivalent expertise) in agile, fast-paced, innovative environments.
