This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Field Service Technician - Controls. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the installation and maintenance of critical equipment at customer sites. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of systems through commissioning, training, and preventive maintenance. This position demands a proactive mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. With opportunities to support diverse projects worldwide, your contributions will directly enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Accountabilities
  • Install & commission new systems within the schedule and budget provided by the project team.
  • Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of equipment; be available for customer care at short notice.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment, including inspections and small repairs.
  • Provide advisory services during equipment install, service, and repair visits.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and electrical/mechanical CAD drawings.
  • Prepare and submit inspection, service, time sheets, and expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain inspection records and determine trends affecting equipment performance.
  • Supervise/train customer employees in testing and adjusting equipment.
  • Travel approximately 90%, up to 6 weeks at a time.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a Field Service Technician capacity, preferred.
  • AS, AAS, or equivalent education/work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 90%, domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical prints.
  • Proactive mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and web-based databases.
  • Experience with multimillion dollar capital equipment products.
  • Valid Driver's License and valid passport.
