Technician R&D – Plant biology

At Amatera, we are accelerating the development of new crop varieties. By pushing the boundaries of Cell Biology, we solve the critical challenges of climate change, disease, and unsustainable farming practices for coffee, wine grapes, and other perennial plants. What we are looking for a Technician R&D in Plant Cell Biology (Permanent position; CDI)

We are seeking a motivated R&D Technician to support our plant cell biology activities.

The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks, including protoplast preparation and regeneration,
in vitro
plant culture, microscopy, and media preparation. You will also be involved in the care and maintenance of plants grown under controlled environmental conditions. Working under the supervision of a research scientist in cell biology, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team. We are looking for someone who demonstrates autonomy in conducting and reporting experiments, and who is eager to contribute to the planning and design of experiments.

Qualifications and key skills

· year undergraduate degree (DUT, BTS), BSc, or equivalent in biology

· years of hands-on experience in a biotechnology laboratory

·      Prior experience in plant biotechnology and/or
in vitro
plant culture is a strong asset

·      Experience with sterile techniques for cell and tissue culture is a plus

·      Familiarity with microscopy techniques

·      Intermediate English level (B2 minimum) required

·      Good organization & communication

·      Strong practical laboratory skills, and ability to work autonomously

·      Team-oriented mindset, with flexibility to adapt to evolving experimental priorities
