Hourly Rate:

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Nature of Work:

Design, prepare and test lab. support for different projects, coordinate with the undergrad lab technicians. Guide and assist students through their weekly project design and lab experiments.  Deliver tutorials. Demonstrate lab equipment and software.  Mark assignments, lab./project reports, quizzes. Offer weekly consultation hours and answer emails from students. Participate in projects evaluation.  Proctor examinations and quizzes.

Minimum Requirements:

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed this course or its equivalent and its prerequisite(s) with a mark of A or better.  Attend a TA workshop if necessary.  Must be ready for an interview if considered for this position. If the responsibilities include DGD and/or TUT and/or LAB supervision or teaching, the applicant must be available for all of these. Familiarity with hardware/software co-design. Good skills in microcontroller and/or FPGA programming, including knowledge of VHDL, Assembly and/or other low level programming languages. Experience with hardware integration and electronic circuits design. Ability to coordinate the work of groups of students. Excellent verbal communication skills in English and/or French.
