Broadband Software Integration (BB-SWI) team is in charge of integrating modem, drivers and application features in order to build Sequans final 4G and 5G products.
The team is also responsible for deploying integration test platform in order to track, debug issues seen on the product, during lab and field testing.
As such BB-SWI engineer has the hands on the product and covers a wide range of techniques. His position implies to understand Sequans 4G and 5G architectures, system and features in order to define how the new features shall be stressed debugged and tested. SI engineer is able to deploy test platform, investigate issues, analyze source code and propose code patches in tight relation with software development team.
Sequans is developping its own Modem simulation test platform for 4G and 5G technologies, and in such context is looking for people working on it.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Follow up of infrastructure vendor partnerships on CAT-Mn NB-IOT product (Ericsson, Nokia, etc.)
- Follow up of Sequans 4G legacy project: technical support, plannings, interactions with Sequans R&D teams
- Integration of simulation software changes (bug fixes and new features), with a strong focus on LTE protocol stack, drivers, system interfaces, RF management and low power procedures for embedded devices, etc.
- Capability to fix an issue by himself, without support ode development team. (white box testing)
- Writing and performing system integration tests plans in order to test specific features in modem not covered by Test cases from the standard
- Good knowledge, and concrete experience on CAT-M, NB-IOT product deployment for 4G.
- Ability to understand and investigate interaction of various SW blocks and their application in a wireless environment including protocol procedures
- QA methodology (test plans, tests reports…)
- Good Knowledge in embedded SW development, in mobile communication protocols (LTE, ideally NR), embedded system integration (drivers, low power mode, etc.)
- Good Knowledge in C and C++, Python, Linux, git & gitlab, administration tools
- Fluent in English with excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Engineering degree with 3 years’ professional experience ideally in telecom domains and embedded systems
- Very good knowledge in 3GPP standard related to CAT-M and NB-IoT: L2, L3 ideally L1.
- Good knowledge in embedded software development
- Fast learning capabilities, highly motivated, self-starter, autonomous, flexible.
- Interested in challenges of new technologies
- Ability to work in a fast moving and multicultural environment

- Excellent written and oral communications skills, fluent English
