About the role

The EMEA Head of Trade Credit (f/h/x) reporting into the Global Head of Trade Credit will be responsible all Trade Credit activities in EMEA.  In this role you will be responsible for setting and driving business strategy for Trade Credit in the region. You will be accountable for P&L and will execute against growth and profitability goals and objectives in line with regional strategy for Trade Credit agreed with the Global Trade Credit Management team and global product segment leads.

What you need to know:

The EMEA Head of Trade Credit (f/h/x) will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with other Credit Lines leadership in the region and drive underwriting excellence XOL and Mid-Market Trade Credit products, in collaboration with the relevant Committees, by establishing and ensuring adherence to risk appetite, line setting, standards and guidelines, and ensure rating and pricing adequacy. You identify and recommend new markets, partnerships, products, services and tools, as well as marketing distribution and underwriting strategies next to keeping regular and ongoing communication with the various geographies to promote best practices in the region for each segment, sharing strategic insights and creating a community of interest and collaboration across Trade Credit Underwriting offices regionally and globally. To further market penetration you will establish and align working relationship and strategies with Trade Credit Multinational and Mid-Market Global Heads to increase market penetration and implement and monitor efficient distribution engagement programs. Last but not least the creation of strong relationships and fostering collaboration with Credit Officer leadership teams will drive effective management of the credit strategy and monitoring risk aggregations to achieve sustainable and profitable growth.

What we’re looking for:

You possess a strong business acumen paired with a track record of making sound judgment backed by strong analytical, quantitative, process and systems skills. This along a broad based, intense European insurance leadership experience, including oversight over multiple products and geographies paired with a deep expertise in XOL Trade Credit. You possess a strong and expert technical underwriting know-how, have a sound knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition, and distribution.

Your proven Strategic Leadership skills in developing vision and purpose ensure driving for results and leading effective teams. You have established strong relationships with customers and intermediaries in the region. As a skilled leader of change your actions are agile, client focused, results oriented.

You round up your excellent communication skills in English with ideally another European language (preferred French, German, Spanish).
