Security Product Engineer is a new role in AXA XL. Security products are moving towards cloud native solutions which negates the need for traditional infrastructure engineers managing the end-to-end infrastructure. However, the need for engineers is not diminishing and instead just evolving. The products are becoming more cloud native (SaaS, PaaS & IaaS), more integrated and more complex. The interaction between products and the automation of responses to security events means there is a constant requirement to understand, maintain and be able to fix the interactions between products.. Responsibilities will include

· Cloud ready – AXAXL is on a trajectory to be fully cloud native using a variety of public and private cloud solutions leveraging SaaS, PaaS and IaaS. Traditional On-premises solutions with appliances racked in data centres need replacing with cloud native solutions. Working with the cloud teams to enable these migrations with no loss of functionality.

· SOAR Maintenance – AXAXL is making steps towards Security Orchestration and Automated Responses to security events. This requires complex scripting and API interaction between products that needs maintaining.

· Innovation - Information Security has a wide breath of tooling which opens opportunities to leverage the functionality within that tooling for risk reduction. This requires technical expertise to realise.

· SaaS/PaaS Management – Whist Cloud tooling brings advantages by providing end to end management of the backend infrastructure. These tooling’s do inevitably need some degree of maintenance – such as Certificate renewals, password and API secret key rotations.

· IaaS Management – inevitably not all solutions can be place into PaaS and SaaS and some Cloud IaaS will persist and require engineering input to maintain.

· Security Tooling Troubleshooting – Security is a compromise, sometime security tooling impacts service in unexpected ways. Complex troubleshooting to to design solutions to restore service without then impacting security

We’re looking for someone who has abilities and skills in the majority of the following:

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field experience with a minimum of 8 years

•Expert analytical and reporting skills

•Expert in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

•Ability to effectively communicate and positively influence diverse stakeholders and team members

•Fluent in English (Required)

•Information Security and /or Information Technology industry certification (CISM, CRISC, GIAC, CISSP or equivalent)

•Experience in articulating IS risks in business language and advising on the appropriate risk management action

•Experience in multinational or enterprise size company and dealing with complex organizational structures across multiple time zones

•Demonstrate experience in highly pressured environments with competing priorities with the ability to drive and assert security requirements

•Experience with Windows servers, Linux, SQL, O365, Firewalls, IPS, MS Azure cloud, are required

•Experience with network and Endpoint Security Infrastructure, SIEM, AV, EDR, IPS, Firewall, WAF, DLP, VPN, CASB

•Experience in Microsoft O365 Security suite (Defender for Endpoint, Cloud, Identity, MS Purview etc) and Qualysguard are required

•Proficient in powershell and under scripting languages and techniques

•Experience with securing Microsoft Azure Active Directory

•Experience in securing both IaaS and PaaS services

•Experience in Openshift, Docker and Kubernetes
