As the France Travel Manager, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating all aspects of corporate travel.
Your mission will be to ensure that our travel operations are not only efficient and cost-effective but also aligned with our commitment to sustainability.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders to tailor travel solutions, stepping in for the Global Travel and Expense Manager when necessary, and serving as the primary point of contact for all travel and expense management platforms in France.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve travel policies and procedures that support sustainable practices.
- Coordinate all travel arrangements, including eco-friendly transportation options and accommodations, ensuring alignment with our sustainability goals.
- Negotiate favorable terms with travel vendors, focusing on partnerships that share our commitment to environmental responsibility.
-Attend business reviews with travel suppliers, maintain good relationships with accounts management teams and deputise for the Global travel manager when needed.
- Offer real-time support and advice to travelers, ensuring they are informed about sustainable travel practices and compliance with the Global travel policy.
- Monitor and report on travel trends, expenses, and adherence to budgets with a keen eye on optimizing costs and reducing our carbon footprint.
- Analyze travel data to identify opportunities for further cost savings and environmental impact reductions.
-Develop reports and Dashboards to support proposed changes backing your requests with solid analysis.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and regulations to ensure our travel policies remain current and comprehensive.
- Handle travel-related inquiries and issues promptly, providing efficient resolutions.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate reconciliation of travel expenses.
-Support and/or lead local and global projects representing the T&E team and liaising with management and stakeholders at all levels.
Required experience & competencies
Experience & soft skills:
3-5 years of Travel Management experience in a similar roleProven experience in travel management or a related role.Strong negotiation and communication skillExcellent organizational and time management abilities.Familiarity with travel booking systems and technologyAbility to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyKnowledge of travel industry regulations and compliance standards.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and travel management software.Languages:
Fluent in French and EnglishRequired Education
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or related field (preferred).
