Job Purpose:

Senior Business Development role responsible for translating vendor/technology growth plans internally and to drive them in specific strategic segments. Aligned with marketing on MDF and with the wider sales organisation on specialised opportunities

Responsibilities:

Full responsibility vendor management

Driving Hardware&Supplies business growth

Manage inventory quality and targets – without compromising availability

Vendor P&L responsibility

Accountable for GP element variation vs plan and corrective actions

Grow profitable market share by executing the Business Unit strategy in full alignment under some supervision

Optimises results by driving sales out of agreed vendor portfolio and other business development initiatives 

Ownership of quarterly vendor business planning and execution

Enable and help the sales teams to win and grow share of wallet and market share

Relationship and engagement with vendors and stakeholders to ensure TD SYNNEX is seen as the “Trusted Advisor

Maintains full knowledge of assigned Vendor’s product / service line 

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

4+ years of experience in the IT industry with channel and/or vendor at a business development level, ideally from a sales or product marketing background

Business planning experience with strong operational cadence

Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques and standards.

Strong orientation towards and experience in services and solution selling

Strategic planning and business case development

Good emotional intelligence

Influence and persuasion

Strong communication skills, both oral and written

Self-management

Skilled multi-level relationship builder

Demonstrates capability of having a clear understanding of strategic direction and challenges combined with ability and experience of how to develop and manage strategic partnerships at executive level

Ability to deal with Vendor/distributor agreements, and their relationships across multiple countries

Strong commercial acumen including demonstrable external contract or vendor management

Willingness to travel as required

Fluency in English – additional languages are desirable
