Our client is an international engineering company with an annual turnover of approx. EUR 2.7 bn. It is the world’s leading supplier of plants, machinery, services and spare parts to the cement and minerals industries.
As part of their strategy growth initiatives, they are undertaking a global carve-out project, separating Cement Business Unit to create a standard alone entity. The project is named as Pure Play.
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing and implementing the infrastructure for Pure Play Project.
Job Overview
As an Infrastructure Solution Architect you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing the Technology Infrastructure required to support the newly formed standalone entity.
Your will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition and alignment with the company’s IT Strategy.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with key stakeholders globally to understand the business requirements and technical requirements.
Design and develop the infrastructure architecture, considering scalability, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
Define and document infrastructure guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance across the project.
Implement and configure the infrastructure components, including servers, storage systems, networks, and security systems.
Collaborate with the IT operations team to establish appropriate monitoring, maintenance, and support processes for the new infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Infrastructure Solution Architect, preferably in a global company and in the context of a carve-out project.
Strong technical expertise in IT Infrastructure, including modern workplace technology, Data Center, networking, Cloud, end user computing, system administration.
Strong competence in project management
Strong experience in Infrastructure design and implementation.
Familiarity with industry standards, frameworks, and regulatory requirements related to IT infrastructure.
Good knowledge in ITIL best practices, processes, and terminology
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design scalable and reliable solutions.
You are a result-oriented team player, leading from the front with pro-activity and transparency.
You are good at stakeholder management and feel comfortable to communicate with all levels in the Organizational hierarchy and good at building relations.
Continuous improvement mindset
Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Good culture understanding as your stakeholders will be based and from around the world.
As a person, you have a high degree of can-do mindset and drive, and you can challenge the existing way of doing things.
