Hardware Engineer (Contract) - DDR / PIM / LLMs / Accelerators / HW/SW Co-design / FPGA / SoC

Location: Grenoble, France (On-site)

Processing In Memory (PIM) Project

We are looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to join an exciting contract role focused on an innovative Processing In Memory (PIM) project. The position will involve hardware modeling, FPGA prototyping, and performance optimization. This is a fully on-site opportunity based in Grenoble, France.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to projects utilizing DDR Processing In Memory (PIM) to accelerate large language model (LLM) inference.
  • Conduct advanced research on next-generation ARM-based multi-processor SoCs.
  • Collaborate with an R&D team at a leading research institute to advance System-on-Chip (SoC) technologies and enhance product competitiveness.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • GEM5 modeling
  • Hardware accelerators
  • Memory hierarchies, including cache and DDR
  • Hardware/software co-design
  • FPGA prototyping

Application of technologies in AI and LLM inference.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in hardware engineering.
  • Strong expertise in System-on-Chip (SoC) architecture, including hardware accelerators, CPUs, and memory subsystems.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for hardware modeling, performance profiling, and optimization.
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate new technologies and apply them effectively.
  • Proven track record of innovative problem-solving and excellent communication skills in a global team environment.
