Position: R&D Engineer
Hybrid Flexible Pipe Calculations/Testing , specialising in Subsea Flexible Composites based in Paris.
Position Details:
- Start Date: January 2025
- Duration: 6 months (renewable)
- Experience Required: Minimum 5 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Model and analyse the behaviour of hybrid flexible pipes and their composite components using finite element analysis (FEA) or existing analytical models.
- Process and analyse complex data from experimental tests, correlating results with developed models.
- Support product engineering by developing design rules and tools for hybrid flexible pipes.
- Prepare technical reports and contribute to showcasing progress in the qualification program.
- Collaborate with various departments in the HFP team, including structural and end-fitting testing, materials testing, product industrialization, and internal test laboratories.
- Work closely with a multicultural team based in France, Brazil, and the UK.
Skills and Tools Required:
- Expertise in Abaqus, Ansys, Python programming, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong creativity, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills, with a results-driven approach.
Additional Information:
- This position reports to the Product Engineering Manager.
- Occasional travel within France and Europe may be required for meetings or activity follow-ups.
