Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Robotics and Automation Engineer role to be based at our customer facility in Montoir-de-Bretagne.

Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.

THE ROLE

You will be passionate about robotics and experienced in implementing cutting-edge technologies. As a Robotics Engineer you will leverage your expertise in DS DELMIA, FANUC QSSR, Fanuc Roboguide, Siemens Tia-Portal, Siemens NX and various robotics software and hardware to drive innovation and efficiency in our projects. The position may require frequent travel to customer sites.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Proficiently implement and commission FL-Net, Profibus, PROFINET, and Modbus communication protocols to seamlessly integrate CNC and robotics systems.
  • Industrial Robot programming in tools like ROBOGUIDE, RobotStudio, MotoSim etc.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical diagrams (Eplan preferable) to interpret and contribute to system design and integration.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive automation projects from conception to implementation.
  • Knowledgeable in industrial communication networks building and SCADA systems.
  • Define equipment-level testing procedures.
  • Possess sound knowledge of PLC automation in TIA-portal, TwinCat, SoMachine, Control Expert, and Dassault Control Build.
  • Assist with site surveys, and PLC systems commissioning.

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Requires extensive hands-on experience with industrial robots like Fanuc, Kuka, and ABB.
  • Proficiency in FANUC CNC and precision Robot (I.e. 800i) Programming.
  • Experience in installing, commissioning, and programming 6-axis industrial manipulators (Fanuc).
  • Competence at implementing different communication protocols like FL-net, Profinet, Modbus, OPC-UA, etc.
  • Expertise in developing and deploying Fanuc Custom Macros for CNC functionalities.
  • Experience with Delmia V5, Cenit Fastsuite, and Process simulate for virtual commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge in PLC Programming (Siemens, ABB, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, etc.).
  • Design and selection of cost-effective components for control panels tailored for robotics applications.
  • Documentation skills for design processes, technical reports, manuals, and specifications within project timelines
  • PLC Commissioning Experience with Automotive systems (ATC, Pneumatics, Vision, Sensors)

Desirable:

  • CNC G and M codes programming.
  • Experience with industrial vision systems and HMI design.
  • Experience with PLC control panel wiring and commissioning.
  • Virtual Commissioning of flexible manufacturing cells.
