NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for a new EU funded project - Technical Assistance to AUDA-NEPAD - Infrastructure Support Mechanism (ISM) and is looking to identify individual experts to carry out the assignment. The project aims to enhance road transport governance in Africa, with the anticipated impact being a reduction in trade costs and an improvement in the mobility of persons. Duration: The intended start date is 17/11/2024 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 36 months from this date .
Senior International Key expert: PIDA Digital Platform and Information Management Specialist
A minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or a recognized certification in Information Technology (IT) Solutions Development.
Master's degree is an advantage.
Demonstrated professional experience in the application of, and software development with the most used open-source content management systems (CMS), such as DRUPAL, WordPress, Joomla, etc
Experience in relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), such as MySQL or PostgreSQL as well as in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), such as Quantum GIS or ArcGIS
Experience in preparing, organizing, and conducting software training.
Demonstrated practical and hands-on experience in data mining, data modelling, data analysis and data quality control/assurance.
Working knowledge of programme and/or project management, implementation and monitoring.
Proficiency in English, at least C1 level
Proficiency in one of the AU official working languages (French, English, Portuguese, Arabic) and fluency in another AU language(s) is an added advantage
Six (6) years of relevant working experience, within the public sector, multilateral institutions, international non-governmental or similar organizations nationally, regionally and / or internationally.
Experience working with the African Union Member States, Continental Bodies, Regional Economic Communities, International Organizations, Development Partners, Development Finance Institutions and knowledge of Continental and Regional Priority Infrastructure Projects and Programs such as Agenda 2063, PIDA etc. If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply and upload your CV via LinkedIn or sent to recruitment@ntu.eu.
