We are looking for a full-time position (40 hours/week) as soon as possible
an Enterprise Architect (m/f/d)
in our IT & Digital division in the Technology & Operations department
at the Frankfurt am Main location.
The IT & Digital division at the DFB comprises the four product clusters "Sport", "Marketing", "Internal Systems" and "Clubs/Associations". The Technology & Operations division is responsible for technical implementation and ongoing operations, providing technical expertise, ensuring the technical infrastructure and smooth processes.
As an Enterprise Architect, you assume overall responsibility for the IT and software architecture and manage the subject areas of Enterprise Architecture. Among other things, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an architectural vision and strategy, creating and maintaining overarching architecture plans and ensuring the sustainability of the systems. Overarching guidelines enable smooth technical and functional collaboration between the Technology & Operations cluster and the four product clusters. In the new operating model, you will also be responsible for managing the content of the lead architects.
Your tasks- Develop an overarching architecture vision/strategy
- Define and demand global guidelines, principles and standards
- Create as-is and target images of the business, information system and technology architecture
- Carry out GAP/impact analyses based on the as-is and target images
- Develop integrations between information systems
- Consolidate lifecycle management of information systems across the board
- Define and consolidate technology standards
- Define common "components" and "services" to be used
- Completed Master's degree in computer science with subject-specific further training and certification in architecture topics
- More than 10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years as an enterprise architect
- In-depth knowledge as an enterprise architect (application and technology layer), as a link between business departments and IT, as well as experience with cloud deployments
- Knowledge and in-depth experience in using enterprise architecture tools
- Expertise and experience as a solution architect in the Java, web and SAP environment, including the management of architecture teams and the development of architecture concepts
- At least 3 years of active experience in software development, especially in the Java and web environment
- Familiarity with relevant technologies and frameworks such as Spring Framework for Java, JavaScript libraries (e.g. React or Angular), RESTful API design
- Experience with database management systems (e.g. SQL, NoSQL)
- Understanding of DevOps principles, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) with tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
- Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and orchestration systems such as Kubernetes
- Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven architecture (e.g. Kafka)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Knowledge of service mesh architectures (e.g. Istio or Linkerd)
- Ideally already gained management experience
- The broadest soccer organization in Germany in terms of content and personnel
