A&Ms established European Financial & Operational Restructuring practice advises companies, investors, lenders and secured creditor groups in complex restructuring processesto evaluate the risks and opportunities of a companys business plan, manage short term liquidity pressure, stabilise financial and operational performance, assess restructuring options, be the lead financial advisor through a restructuring transaction and implement comprehensive profitability, working capital improvements and restructuring solutions in order to maximize outcomes for our clients.

Our Paris based Financial & Operational Restructuring practice (FOR) is lead by two highly experienced & established Managing Directors and the team have earned an exceptional reputation for excellent work. They are highly active in France & across Europe and due to continued growth we are recruiting a talented individual to join this expanding team at Director level. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a career in advisory with the leading global name in Restructuring.

All of our teams are expanding and looking for experienced and ambitious individuals to join our Financial & Operational Restructuring team.

We welcome applications from individuals currently pursuing careers in Big 4 firms or boutique advisory / strategy houses who are looking to develop their career in Restructuring at a fast pace by working for an independent specialist firm with a global reputation.

As part of a select and highly skilled team you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work closely with our Managing Directors in France and across Europe on business development activities including thought leadership, proposals, pitches and networking

  • Support our Managing Directors to lead and develop the French Financial & Operational Restructuring team (FOR), including recruiting, training and coaching team members

  • Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders in the French and European Restructuring community through the delivery of value-added client engagements

  • Advise companies, investors, lenders or any other stakeholders facing distressed situations; assess Group-level financial & operational performance in addition to the financial viability of subsidiary companies

  • Conduct Independent Business Reviews, Initial diagnostic assessment of liquidity, key business issues and outlook, appraisal of options & contingency planning and cash flow assessments

  • Evaluate business plans and financial projections, including assessments of risks and opportunities - contribute to performance monitoring following business plan implementation

Essential experience

  • Experience within a Financial or Operational Restructuring team in Big 4 firms or boutique advisory / strategy houses

  • Graduated from a leading Grande Ecoles in Business and / or Engineering, or equivalent

  • Fluent business level French and English is essential and additional European language skills including Dutch, Italian, German, Swedish or Spanish are highly desirable
