Job Description Summary

The Global Logistics Sourcing Leader is responsible for driving strategic sourcing activities across all aspects of GE Grid Automation Spend for Logistics. This includes taking strategic ownership of entire category spend, developing strategies to reduce total cost of ownership – including vendor management, demand management, and governance/compliance – to achieve initial step change TCO reduction and ongoing year-over-year improvements. The Global Logistics Sourcing Leader will partner with the Grid Automation Logistics operational colleagues, the GSA (Global Shippers Association) and other category leaders across the business to set global strategy, coordinate sourcing efforts and policy, and execute initiatives. This will also involve partnering with GE functional stakeholders in Business Sourcing, Operations, Supply-Chain and other functions to drive TCO reduction while delivering excellent service levels to the organization.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee development/ execution of strategies through the sourcing process for specific Category Group of spend areas

  • Champion and secure TCO reductions for Logistics (Ocean, Air, TL, LTL, parcel, storage)

  • Develop and maintain spend analytics capability (lane level purchase data, transport requirements and lanes)

  • Develop and implement sourcing capability for transport spend (e.g., should-cost analysis, supplier development)

  • Oversee end-to-end Sourcing process: strategy, market analysis, negotiation process (RFXs), supplier selection and contract creation, and buy channel management

  • Work closely with GSA (Global Shipper Association) to obtain best rates for cross-GE transport modes (Air, TL, LTL, ocean, parcel)

  • Partner with Global Customs and Trade Compliance Strategy leader to support customs clearance RFX processes as necessary

  • Lead and manage multi-functional stakeholder teams on specific strategic sourcing initiatives or projects

  • Drive best practices

  • Measure and track internal performance within each spend category

  • Monitor strategy implementation to ensure benefit realization

  • Drive annual productivity improvements in each spend category

  • Drive value through supplier relationship management via quarterly business reviews, supplier KPI / performance management, supplier compliance to sourcing commitments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Strategic Sourcing / Category Management ideally with focus on Logistics services including Air, TL, LTL, specialized ocean and parcel services

Desired Characteristics

  • MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering.

  • Experience leading large scale logistics service RFXs

  • Track record of driving step change in sourcing and/or logistics functions

  • Collaborative mindset in working across functional areas

  • Strong analytical skills (spend analytics, should-cost analysis, market R&I)

Responsable global achats logistiques – Grid Automation F/H

Le/la responsable global achats logistiques a pour mission l’élaboration d’une stratégie achat et assurer sa réalisation. Il s’occupe des relations fournisseurs/entreprises. Il contribue aussi à la négociation des contrats d’achat et au suivi de la chaine logistique ainsi que son fonctionnement. Le responsable achats et logistique assure la coordination avec les différentes équipes de l'entreprise et participe à la planification de leurs besoins . Il participe aussi à la rédaction des cahiers de charges.

Rôles et responsabilités

  • Superviser le développement/l'exécution de stratégies à travers le processus d'approvisionnement pour un groupe de catégories spécifique de domaines de dépenses.

  • Promouvoir et sécuriser les réductions du TCO pour la logistique (océan, air, TL, LTL, colis, stockage)

  • Développer et maintenir une capacité d'analyse des dépenses (données d'achat, exigences de transport et voies)

  • Développer et mettre en œuvre une capacité d'approvisionnement pour les dépenses de transport (par exemple, analyse des coûts, développement des fournisseurs)

  • Superviser le processus d'approvisionnement de bout en bout : stratégie, analyse de marché, processus de négociation (RFX), sélection des fournisseurs et création de contrats, et gestion des canaux d'achat.

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec GSA (Global Shipper Association) pour obtenir les meilleurs tarifs pour les modes de transport cross-GE (Air, TL, LTL, océan, colis)

  • Collaborer avec le responsable de la stratégie mondiale de conformité douanière et commerciale pour soutenir les processus de dédouanement RFX, si nécessaire.

  • Diriger et gérer des équipes de parties prenantes multifonctionnelles sur des initiatives ou des projets d'approvisionnement stratégique spécifiques.

  • Favoriser les meilleures pratiques

  • Mesurer et suivre les performances internes au sein de chaque catégorie de dépenses

  • Surveiller la mise en œuvre de la stratégie pour garantir la réalisation des avantages

  • Générer des améliorations annuelles de productivité dans chaque catégorie de dépenses

  • Générer de la valeur grâce à la gestion de la relation avec les fournisseurs via des revues commerciales trimestrielles, des KPI/gestion des performances des fournisseurs, la conformité des fournisseurs aux engagements d'approvisionnement.

Qualifications requises

  • Baccalauréat d'une université ou d'un collège accrédité

  • Minimum de 7 ans d'expérience en approvisionnement stratégique/gestion de catégories, idéalement axés sur les services logistiques, notamment les services aériens, TL, LTL, maritimes et de colis spécialisés.

Caractéristiques souhaitées

  • MBA ou baccalauréat en approvisionnement, gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement, finance ou ingénierie.

  • Expérience dans la direction d'appels d'offres de services logistiques à grande échelle

  • Expérience dans la conduite de changements progressifs dans les fonctions d'approvisionnement et/ou de logistique

  • Esprit collaboratif dans tous les domaines fonctionnels

  • Solides compétences analytiques (analyse des dépenses, analyse des coûts, R&I du marché)

  • Excellentes compétences en communication (écrite et verbale)

  • Solides compétences interpersonnelles et de leadership.

  • Compétences démontrées en négociation

  • Attitude positive

  • Solides compétences en gestion de projet

  • Expérience avec la mise en œuvre et l'exécution des appels d'offres

  • Connaissance pratique des systèmes ERP/SSS

  • Historique de la consolidation de la base d'approvisionnement
