Duration : 12 months minimum

Full time hybrid (2days onsite per week)

Context :

The department role is to :

• Analyze the forecasting effort closely collaborate with the Applications teams for monthly cloud consumption.
• Contribute to the cloud consumption budgeting for the applications teams
• Support the decision-making efforts for cost optimization
• Implement the alert framework for any threshold spikes in liaison with the applications teams and drive regular monitoring.
• Leverage cost optimization opportunities
• Embed regular training needs assessments within the FinOps function & arrange relevant trainings with global teams or cloud service providers.

Mission :
• Support the self-service capabilities for business application owners and operations executives to manage current and forecasted cloud spend
• Analyze the Cloud cost optimization & benefit tracking across all cloud platforms used with main focus put on Public Cloud (Mainly Azure and AWS / OpenPaaS)
• Embed business performance analysis and support decision through financial analysis and recommendations – resulting from cloud consumption reporting
• Advice on Reserve Instance, On-demand, and Spot instance strategy and guidelines
• Mobilize & implement guardrails to optimize cost performance and also enforce these
• Contribute to create requirements for alerting when costs are higher than expected within a billing cycle
• Assess the comparative costs of running applications on the Cloud
• Forecast and plan cloud costing based on cloud consumption reports and make recommendations.
• Maintain a good understanding of the cloud provider pricing models and implement guidelines, processes, and governance to manage cloud costs and identify and achieve cost reduction where appropriate.
• Also ensure control over service credits and their usage
• Ensure the right financial assessments are being done, including forecasting and tracking of the TCO by application
• Deploy strategies that help deliver financial transparency to business leaders and key stakeholders while ensuring there are appropriate controls and remediation to help the business identify and address expense overages and other risks to forecast
• Meet Stakeholder’s reporting needs for cloud costs, these could be regular, real time and ad hoc.
• Develop and maintain internal forecasting

Skills Required :

• University graduate with expertise in IT Roles +5 years
•Expertise in Cloud Service Consumption Modelling tools in a large-scale IT infrastructure and application environment.
• Deep understanding of Cloud Architecture and different cloud service providers (Azure, AWS, OpenPaas)
• Expertise of technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization.
• Strong financial acumen including advanced accounting expertise with forecasting, budgeting, P&L, and variance analysis
• Understanding of baselining costs, functionality trade-offs & total cost of ownership for cloud resources. (show-backs, chargebacks, benefit tracking)
• Familiar with / basic expertise of building IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions
• Use KPIs, use and analyze quantitative financial and statistical data
• Methodology Agile / Scrum
