Responsibilities
We are looking for a researcher to assist in developing technologies for creating convincing vegan alternatives to meat, aiming to achieve taste parity with animal meat.
The main focus of the role involves conducting innovative research in a lab setting.
Other duties include:
- staying updated on the latest advancements in the field and exploring new technologies continuously;
- actively participating in brainstorming sessions for product development;
- evaluating the feasibility of technologies and their path to industrialization;
- maintaining a clean, safe, and inclusive work environment;
- documenting research progress and findings, and sharing updates with the R&D team;
- offering guidance to junior scientists and associates Preferred Experience
- PhD or post-doc in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or related field with expertise in soft matter or polymer science
- Demonstrated ability for independent thinking
- Capacity to give and receive feedback
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written
- No previous experience in food science necessary Recruitment Process
The process includes an initial video call with an HR team member, followed by an interview with an R&D representative.
Subsequently, references will be requested, and you will be required to prepare and defend a business case with our CTO, Vincent Poulichet.
Start date: As soon as possible; the position is full-time.
