Surveyor - HPC

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Welcome to the team at MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C We are currently looking for a skilled individual to join us in the exciting new role of a Surveyor based in Bridgewater, Somerset.

Accountabilities:

• Complete setting out surveys for temporary and permanent equipment
• Ensure surveying activities are done safely and in compliance with regulations
• Provide input for progress reporting on surveying activities
• Review setting out data for design co-ordinates compatibility
• Conduct quality checks on control set ups and point accuracy
• Report issues to the MEH Alliance Surveying Lead
• Execute surveying activities in line with specifications
• Setting out of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC supports
• Provide accurate centreline and level datum's for installation
• Conduct surveys on pipe spools for fabricated data
• Calculations of support cut lengths
• Conduct as-built surveys of installed equipment
• Undertake periodic instrument calibration checks
• Attend relevant site meetings

Key Deliverables:

• Ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements
• Provide dimensional control during equipment erection
• Produce "As-built" surveys of equipment foundations
• Provide certified and calibrated surveying equipment
• Ensure all survey equipment is in calibration
• Use core experience & surveying skills for dimensional control

Minimum qualifications/experience:

• Surveying or Engineering qualifications or relevant experience
• Strong Setting out experience
• Proficiency in using survey equipment and producing reports
• Knowledge of legislation, codes, and standards
• Experience in MS Office - Excel, Word
• 5 years' experience as an onsite surveyor
• Experienced in working in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment
• Starnet experience desirable
