Position:

Moët Hennessy, the Wines & Spirits Division of LVMH, regroups twenty-five Maisons, many of wich have been around for centuries, while others are just starting their journey.

In close liaison with the Asset and Brand Protection Director and the Global Brand Protection Manager, the Anti Counterfeiting & Illicit Trade Manager will provide general support and assistance in leading, implementing and promoting Moet Hennessy's key Brand Protection strategies and initiatives in a dedicated region.


1/ Prevention**- Constantly assess the scale of the counterfeit threats in order to define and implement an adapted off-line and on-line strategy.

  • Educate and update regional business units on Brand Protection issues.
  • Establish effective relationships and communication with the business units to strengthen an efficient Brand Protection strategy.

2/ Detection

  • Locate, recruit, manage and train third party service providers (investigators/lawyers) in each country to assist with investigations and enforcement actions.
  • Develop effective collaborations with Law Enforcement and participate in or secure participation in law enforcement or IP/Brand Protection related training events.
  • Organize regular market sweeps in Key countries and keep an active surveillance level in secondary ones.

3/ Enforcement

  • Organize and coordinate field operations in collaboration with services providers and authorities.
  • Undertake legal actions against identified targets.
  • Coordinate, supervise and follow up all the legal proceedings related to Brand Protection operations.

4/ Innovation

  • Constant assessment and innovation brainstorm on legal proceedings.
  • Support R&D activities of "Maisons" and spot new Brand Protection technologies.
  • Create impactful training materials for internal & external use regarding product authentication of key MH brands.
  • Keep up to date the archival system, analyzing and case management database to be able to provide comprehensive statistical reporting to the Asset and Brand Protection Director, the Global Brand Protection Manager and the business units.

Profile:

Experience:

  • Law degree
  • Minimum 5/6 years of work experience in Anti Counterfeiting/Brand Protection/IP practice
  • Team player with good ability to work independently
  • Ability to build effective internal and external networks
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to consistently think innovatively and strategically in finding new approaches/methods to accomplish goals
  • Fluency in spoken and written English/French is required. Any other language is a plus
Travels required extensively in the region and possibly elsewhere, in pursuance of objectives (35%).
