Our responsibilities include managing corporate-level media, social media, stakeholder and parliamentary engagement; developing and implementing the organization's online presence, including multimedia digital content; and distributing OECD publications while playing a significant role in identifying and addressing risks in the public domain.

The Communication Directorate values an agile, collaborative, and supportive environment characterized by positive interactions and accountability among professionals.

Within the Communication Directorate, the Digital Communications, Web, and Publications division strive to create communication plans, design and deliver innovative digital communication and outreach products and services, such as the OECD website, data visualizations, and videos.

We work closely with other divisions on Media, social media & external engagement, as well as Communications impact, standards & capacity building to ensure alignment with corporate narratives.

  • Main Responsibilities
    • Oversee the Communication Solutions Design Unit and assist in managing the division according to corporate standards in financial and HR management, leading by example and promoting staff well-being.
    • Contribute to the transformation of the OECD communication function, fostering an agile, collaborative, and supportive atmosphere among colleagues.
    • Manage the information and design architecture of the OECD corporate website aligned with the web strategy for long-term content, design, and search capabilities in collaboration with the corporate IT Division.
    • Ensure consistency across OECD's online platforms, optimize user experience, ensure search engine optimization, and streamline processes when necessary.
    • Develop a yearly roadmap of digital solutions to create new communication products and services addressing OECD communication needs at scale.
    • Lead project and product design frameworks, including standard management processes, documentation, methodologies, and toolkits in line with corporate standards.
    • Define the corporate package of digital and web solutions & tools used by Communications teams across the Organization.

The Directorate for Communications seeks a Head of Digital Communications Solutions Design unit to lead a team of digital product managers and engineers, focusing on designing, developing, and enhancing the OECD corporate website and digital solutions for content dissemination on corporate web platforms.

The ideal candidate should hold an advanced University degree in Digital Communication, Computer Science, Information Science, or related fields, along with at least eight years of management experience in a technology solutions delivery setting.

Additionally, proficiency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) is required, with knowledge of the other language desired.

Certification or training in Project Management and/or Product management would be advantageous, as well as experience with Lean or Agile methodologies in project management.

An ideal candidate would also possess excellent ICT knowledge, familiarity with content management systems, digital tools, and experience working with analytics tools.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will undergo written tests from 27-31 May 2024, followed by panel interviews on 13-14 June 2024.

The position offers a 13-month fixed-term appointment with the possibility of renewal, and the monthly salary commences at 8 984 EUR based on experience, with additional allowances depending on eligibility.
