The Field Medical Advisor is pivotal in establishing and nurturing relationships within the medical and healthcare community, including healthcare practitioners, policy makers, payers, patient groups, and healthcare administrators.
This role is dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes through the peer-to-peer scientific exchange of Moderna's mRNA platform science, fostering trust, and encouraging engagement through personalized and digital interactions.
The Field Medical Advisor plays a key role in sharing thought and insight with the medical and healthcare community.Medical Intelligence:
Engage with a broad spectrum of people within the medical and healthcare community including Key Opinion Leaders, scientific societies, public health institutions at the national and / or regional level, advisory and professional bodies, patient advocacy groups and associations, academic and research institutions, advisory and regulatory bodies, policy makers and government officials applying strategic and empathetic listening to gather insights, and providing scientific support that aligns with Moderna's objectives.
Share up-to-date scientific narratives across Moderna's therapeutic areas, including clinical trial data and research findings, to support the medical and scientific community.
Management of Medical Strategies:
Successfully execute medical engagement activities including advisory boards, partnerships, round tables, and conferences.
Adhere to ethical standards and compliance protocols, promptly reporting adverse events and product quality complaints, submitting medical information requests, and supporting investigator-initiated studies.
Digital Proficiency:
Effectively utilize digital tools for engagement, demonstrating a "Digital First" mindset, and seeking innovative ways to enhance digital interactions.
Collaboration and Training:
Work closely with internal teams, physicians, and other stakeholders to drive initiatives, share knowledge, and contribute to internal training efforts.
Masters in Scientific Discipline RequiredMinimum of 4 years of experience in Medical Affairs or field medical roles
Experience in medical affairs and / or clinical development and / or market access, preferably with mRNA vaccines, immunology or infectious diseases.
MD, PhD, PharmD preferredEstablished relationships within the medical community and a strong understanding of healthcare ecosystems.
Fluent in English and German.
Proficiency in digital technology and familiarity with virtual presentation platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
