Le siège social du Groupe AXA (GIE AXA) regroupe nos activités corporate. Il assure le pilotage et le support des filiales dans le monde, afin de garantir notamment la coordination et le suivi de la stratégie globale d'AXA, l'application de ses standards, la cohérence des approches commerciales, et le partage des meilleures pratiques.
Le siège est composé d'environ 1000 employés et se distingue par sa forte culture internationale (45 nationalités), ce qui en fait un espace de travail riche et stimulant.

Within the Group, you will join the AXA Group Risk Management (GRM). It brings together multidisciplinary high-level teams composed of actuaries, engineers, PhDs and financial analysts, based in Paris (65 people), Zurich (15 people) and Madrid (20 people). Within this Department, you will be part of the Natural Hazards Teama dynamic 15-members team dedicated to the modeling and monitoring of the climate and natural catastrophe risks borne by the company.

JOB PURPOSE
The apprentice will take part in the development and implementation of the next generation of earthquake risk models at AXA, from the hazard to the economic impact of devastating earthquakes. These new models will contribute to a better earthquake risk assessment and to enhance AXA's internal view.
CONTEXT AND MAJOR CHALLENGES
AXA has developed a strong expertise in earthquake risk management through earthquake modelling activities and real time earthquake events monitoring to understand at which level AXA clients are exposed to ground shaking. The work will consist in strengthening expertise on:
Internal CAT Models: contribute to release the AXA Internal CAT Model for the earthquake risk in Switzerland and Turkey Vulnerability module: Calibrate vulnerability curves from claims data Economic Consequences: Explore new state-of-the-art methods to model post-loss amplification Validation of the outputs and integration of all developed modules in AXA loss modelling framework will be a necessary and important activity all along the project. Votre ProfilCompétences techniques et professionnelles requises, niveau d'expérience :
Suitable candidates would have a master's degree in geoscience, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent (engineering schools...) with interest for academic research. Candidates should have strong analytical mindset, strong programming skills (Python, R), as well as good communication skills to be able to work as part of a team.
