Your job as O&M Partnerships Senior Manager (location flexible within Europe

):

• Lead all aspects of an O&M bid, including in a Joint Venture, Consortium, or other Partnership model
• Represents technically and commercially the O&M Proponent / Contractor, visàvis the customer, Project Co, Design-Builder, and stakeholders
• Ensures the overall O&M strategy is comprehensive, adequately costed, and commercially and contractually sound.

Responsibilities:

Key accountabilities:

• Support regional teams by defining bid strategy and supporting multidisciplinary topics in O&M bids (e.g. infrastructure, facilities and wayside systems life cycle costing, traction and facilities energy consumption analysis, etc)
• Support regional teams during the bid in the development of Services / O&M Contractor Agreement, Interface Agreement (including all annexes), and other commercial and financial activities as applicable.
• During bid and project lifecycle, identify optimization and innovation opportunities, prepare business case(s) and implementation plan(s).
• Following NTP (notice to proceed) provide support as OMJV board member, project director, or with discreet deliverables.
• Stakeholder engagement to develop solutions, tools and processes for bids and projects
• Early involvement in O&M opportunities supporting growth objectives; partnering criteria, selection and negotiation; and development of capture plan

Key Job Authorities and Dimensions (Expenditure/Hiring authorities, total budget resp., team size; etc.)
:

• Provide guidance and support to regional bid management team in delivery of bid strategy
• Provide leadership to large multidisciplinary teams delivering O&M bids and projects, including technical, costing, legal, finance, insurance representatives
• Provide leadership in stakeholder management, including Client, Project Co and DB Partners, O&M Partners and subcontractors, and Lenders.
• Support the development of the internal bid budget, and lead the development of the JV bid budget.
• Responsible for management of bid budget (internal & JV) and reporting to JV SteerCo
• Responsible for identifying resource requirements and escalating gaps and performance issues

The educational requirements:

• Master degree in technical and/or business field

The experience required:

• Broad knowledge of railway systems, maintenance and operating requirements
• Experience bidding O&M opportunities with various contract types (e.g. prescriptive, performancebased, etc)
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
• Experience working with designbuilders to achieve optimal whole life cost
• Experience delivering maintenance and/or operation on an operating railway
