This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Data Team at Remote, which currently comprises over 15 Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Data Analysts spread across more than 10 countries. We are dedicated to driving business value through strategic decision-making, especially during this transformative phase where we are establishing the groundwork for scalable company growth within our data platform. Our tech stack includes modern data tools on the AWS platform, such as Snowflake and dbt, with a heavy utilization of SQL and Python.

Senior Data Analyst, Product Analytics is a pivotal role within our Data Analytics team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in fostering collaboration between our team and the Product organization at Remote. Responsibilities include building relationships, deriving insights, guiding product decisions, and improving user experiences. We are seeking someone with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a track record of delivering actionable insights that influence product strategy and performance.

• Extensive experience collaborating closely with product development teams, delivering insights for digital products, and influencing critical product decisions
• Familiarity with event tracking taxonomy design, event tracking tools like Rudderstack or Segment, and product analytics visualization tools such as Mixpanel or Amplitude
• Sound understanding of product metric design frameworks and implementation, supporting and empowering product teams in measuring their KPIs
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations
• Proficiency in building relationships and working effectively with product leadership
• Experience with data visualization tools like Metabase or Looker
• Proficient in SQL and dbt, with Python skills being a bonus
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to document processes for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong organizational and project management skills, adept at prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment

• Although not mandatory, prior experience working remotely is advantageous
• Fluency in spoken and written English

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to define analytics requirements and prioritize projects
• Lead initiatives to establish a robust product metrics framework for proactive measurement and reporting of key product lines and features
• Contribute to education and enablement efforts to empower Product teams in implementing and quality assuring event taxonomies using best practices, enabling self-service insights on customer behavior
• Analyze extensive datasets to extract actionable insights related to user behavior, product usage, and feature performance
• Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor product metrics and identify insights
• Collaborate with data engineers, analytics engineers, and data analysts to ensure accurate data collection, build our data warehouse in dbt, and deliver product models and metrics efficiently
• Mentor and support junior analysts by offering guidance, sharing best practices, and fostering continuous learning and development

Though our salary bands might seem broad initially, they are designed considering our international operations and globally dispersed workforce. We utilize geographical ranges to account for pay differentials specific to each location to maintain competitiveness in various markets while hiring globally.

For the role in question, the base salary range is $35,850 USD to $80,650 USD per annum. These ranges are influenced by factors such as role, level, location, skill set, work experience, training, business requirements, and market conditions. The actual salary offered to the selected candidate is subject to multiple variables, including but not limited to location, skills, experience, and market demand, and thus may vary within the stated range.
