Context & team objectives The newly established Global Chief Underwriting & Pricing Office (GUO) is responsible for driving profitability and growth through Product Underwriting Strategy, Portfolio Design, and Technical Underwriting Excellence in collaboration with AXA Entities, for both Commercial and Retail sectors, by: Portfolio Design Steering Underwriting and Product Strategy Technical Underwriting Guidance Pricing Models, Platforms, and Analytics Deployment of Risk Appetite Designing and implementing Ceded Reinsurance strategies As a part of the Group Chief Underwriting & Pricing Office, you will be part of the Individual Health Pricing Team under Group Life, Savings, and Health. You will lead a team dedicated to ensuring top-notch Technical Pricing in Individual Health Products.
- Build and enforce the Pricing Policy, incorporating best practices and technical standards for governance;
- Engage closely with Group Underwriting teams, Entity Pricing members, Reserving, Group Operations, and Finance to enhance pricing accuracy and overall business performance;
- Conduct Pricing Technical Reviews to evaluate Pricing Strategy, Adequacy, Governance, processes, tools, and models' calibration;
- Support portfolio management through metrics validation, regular reviews, and defining consequent pricing actions;
- Collaborate with Group Underwriting, Operations, and Centers of Excellence to execute the Pricing Technical Excellence Plan;
- Address Regulatory Pricing Topics and develop action plans to adapt to legal and regulatory changes;
- Establish a robust Pricing Expert network with internal and external stakeholders to drive technical Pricing improvements globally and ensure consistency;
- Keep updated on industry developments, specifically those impacting pricing;
- Share insights on product pricing methodologies, including algorithms, parameters, and advanced techniques.
Individual Health businesses & geographies. Responsible for the pricing framework for the AXA Group across Individual Health lines of business. Supervision of the Individual Health Pricing team.
This role will collaborate closely with Heads of Pricing within the entities. Reviews and cross-functional initiatives will involve teams in GIE and entities across Finance, Risk Management, Underwriting, Claims, etc.
