Our legal department is seeking a Legal Counsel to offer legal services to our Operations & Services Department, covering Construction, Maintenance, and Distribution activities across the Voltalia group.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced commercial/contracts lawyer to join a successful and growing renewable energy business, supporting our green energy international vision and mission.
Responsibilities include:
- Responding on behalf of the company to requirements for third-party client tenders
- Providing legal analysis, drafting, and negotiation of national and international contracts for the construction and operation of renewable power plants (EPC, O&M)
- Acting on behalf of the company to analyze and mitigate risk, to draft and negotiate contracts related to distribution activities such as agency, distribution, partnership agreements, etc.
- Handling company disputes; providing advice on legal issues like customer and suppliers claims, pre-litigation, and litigation
- Offering generalist support for the company's legal requirements; drafting letters, policies, contract templates, and legal documents. Ensuring accurate legal advice is given and that procedures are followed as per current local legislative and statutory compliance
- Staying updated with changes and developments in case law, contract law, liability, public procurement, local legislation, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience
- Experience in Projects (Construction & Maintenance)
- Strong knowledge of contract law and construction law
- Proficiency in English
