As the Principal of Design, your role will involve shaping and executing the Design strategy for the region to maintain and expand Unispace's client base and projects. You will serve as a strategic leader, optimizing your team's efforts and enhancing Unispace's reputation in Ireland.

Your main responsibilities will include overseeing design operations in France and pursuing new potential clients.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing the Design strategy, driving design innovation at the Paris Studio
  • Collaborating with the EMEA Design Lead to create annual business and workforce plans for France
  • Establishing and nurturing key client relationships to strengthen the Unispace brand in IUK and Ireland and pursue opportunities with target clients
  • Maintaining an overview of all Studio design projects
  • Providing financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting details
  • Leading the Design team, in coordination with the management and Delivery team, to achieve financial project objectives
  • Conducting crucial bid and pitch presentations on Design and the Unispace approach to win new business and expand the portfolio in France
  • Ensuring that the Studio's culture, values, and behaviors align with the organization and our methodologies
  • Promoting design best practices, initiatives, processes, and technology enhancements in collaboration with the EMEA Leads
  • Working with Studio management to develop and implement risk management strategies and taking necessary actions in case of risks
  • Promoting a culture of Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Being an Ambassador of Unispace's core values


Key Measures:

  • Providing project overviews and status updates to management when required
  • Submitting accurate project bids that meet client requirements with realistic costs and timelines
  • Achieving Studio budget, project profitability, and client satisfaction goals
  • Securing additional opportunities through industry recognition or awards for design innovation
  • Implementing adequate resourcing, training, and engagement plans for the Studio
  • Effectively managing the performance of the Design team
  • Ensuring consistent standards, technology solutions, and processes across the studio
  • Implementing risk management plans and taking appropriate actions
  • Executing Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives aligned with the global vision


Experience and Skills Required:

  • Degree or equivalent in a design-related field
  • Advanced technical knowledge
  • Understanding of project financials, CRE, and approvals
  • Demonstrated experience in leading high-performance teams
  • Track record of working on large projects
  • Client-focused with the ability to build strategic relationships
  • Excellent pitching, presentation, and communication skills
  • Innovative thinking to influence others and achieve results
  • Capability to develop and nurture a team and organizational talent
  • Business acumen and agility
