The Client:
Curo is collaborating with a leading Global Company specializing in providing cutting-edge technology solutions to B2B Customers. Their innovative products and services cater to the evolving technology landscape, including sectors like 5G, SD-WAN, Cloud, and Autonomous Vehicles. The company is known for its advanced satellite navigation test and simulation systems designed in-house, incorporating sophisticated application software and radio frequency signal generators.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate should have industry expertise in Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT) / Global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) or related wireless technologies. Strong communication skills are essential to articulate technical solutions and their advantages to clients in the Defence and Automotive industries. The role also involves facilitating client visits.
The Role:
As an Applications Engineer, you will primarily focus on the military and automotive markets. Working closely with the professional services team in the UK, you will support the Business Development (BD) teams by offering technical pre-sales and applications support tailored to each opportunity. Building strong relationships with customers, understanding their use cases, and providing feedback to enhance services are key aspects of the role. Some travel across EMEA will be required, including visits to the UK office and customer sites.
Key Duties:
- Engage in technical discussions with customers to identify suitable test solutions
- Collaborate with product development to address pre-sales inquiries
- Define initial requirements for Tailored Solutions or Services
- Stay updated on GNSS technologies and market trends
- Support Business Development Managers (BDM) in EMEA activities
- Identify and communicate new customer requirements to BDM
- Work on generating application-specific materials and competitive analysis reports
- Enhance customer relationships in military and automotive sectors
- Document processes and technical requirements
- Contribute to the team's improvement by sharing learnings and best practices
- Provide feedback on product and process enhancements
- Assist in designing solutions, responding to RFx, and presenting to customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Significant experience in PNT/GNSS or similar wireless technologies
- Ability to explain technical solutions and their benefits clearly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
- Customer-facing experience
- Knowledge of GNSS simulation equipment and sensors is a plus
- Experience with communication protocols and receivers is advantageous
- Ability to propose solutions and collaborate closely with customers
