DevOps Engineer Job Title:
DevOps EngineerLocation: Bordeaux, FranceType: Long-term Freelance (3 years)

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid (2 days on-site, 3 days remote)I am assisting a leading IT consultancy who is helping leading company in the motor vehicle industry, in finding a skilled DevOps Tooling Engineer to join their team on a long-term freelance basis.

The engineer will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing the development and deployment processes, ensuring high standards of code quality and deployment efficiencyMy customer has nearly 50 years of market excellence, making their brand a family name across the technology world.

The scope for professional progression is endlessGlocomms has a long-standing relationship with the customer having already placed numerous contractors with them.


Key Responsibilities:

Assist Project Teams:
Administer and support a suite of advanced development tools.
Standardize and streamline development and deployment practices, ensuring top-notch code quality and adherence to best practices.

Implement and manage sophisticated versioning strategies using tailored Git workflowsEnhance Jenkins CI/CD Deployment:
Lead the industrialization of deployment processes for new projects and enhance existing ones. Drive best practices adoption to maximize efficiency and minimize risks.
Integrate cutting-edge technologies and pipeline modules (e.
G., Jira integration, API publishing, dependency management).Create intuitive dashboards to provide clear visibility on pipeline status and content.

Strengthen Quality Approaches:
Integrate and manage top-tier code quality control tools (SonarQube, Fortify) with comprehensive dashboards.
Champion automated testing processes to ensure robust, high-quality deliverables and deployments.
Seamlessly connect business applications with leading monitoring tools (e.
G., Splunk, ELK, Centreon, Dynatrace).

Support and Integration:
Provide daily expert support via a dedicated Jira system. Implement and integrate advanced DevOps toolchain services.
Document operational and usage guidelines for various services.
Regularly report on activities, progress, and potential risks.

Skills / Qualifications:
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a track record of successful projects.
Proficiency in Jenkins CI/CD, SonarQube, BitBucket, GitLab, Nexus, Splunk, and Fortify.
Deep understanding of code quality controls and automated testing processes.
Familiarity with leading monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK, Centreon, or Dynatrace.
Exceptional documentation and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, both independently and as part of a collaborative team
