Are you looking for an Intern opportunity in Paris for Spring 2023 in Asset Management?

Ruffer SA has an opportunity for a Bi-Lingual Intern to join the Paris team around May/June 2023.


The intern will assist the Paris Team of 10 people in its organisation with a specific focus on Investor Relations, Business Development and Marketing in relation with Ruffer's investment strategy.

This role will be based in Ruffer's Paris office but will focus also on supporting the wider European Team.

Ruffer is an independent private partnership with over £26 billion under management and around 340 members of staff.

It manages investments on a discretionary basis for individuals, trusts, charities, companies and pensions as well as collective investment schemes.

We have offices in London, Edinburgh, Guernsey, Paris and New York. Ruffer is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in the weekly Investment Meeting and various business meetings
  • Help with the organization of events undertaken as part of business development activity
  • Assisting on the onboarding process of new investors, as well as investor relations and business development tasks
  • Collaborating with marketing and product in the preparation of external documentation, promotion and any events
  • Conducting a review of the various reporting documents used
  • Supporting the team with translating monthly reports and inhouse research documents from English to French

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • An absolute focus on client service
  • Outstanding academic qualifications from a toptier business school or university, with a degree in finance or a related field
  • A deep understanding and interest of financial markets, macroeconomics and investment funds
  • High standards of accuracy
  • A native French speaker with a high standard of oral and written communication in both French and English
  • Highly proficient in IT tools (MS Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Bloomberg ideally)
  • Excellent at multitasking and prioritising, with the ability to deal with changing priorities
