Remote Freelance C++ Software Engineer - 12 Month Contract
Our Client is a pioneering medical device startup dedicated to revolutionising the healthcare industry through innovative technology solutions. They are passionate about creating advanced medical devices that enhance patient care and improve clinical outcomes.
They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Freelance C++ and Qt Developer to join their team.
Position Overview: My client is looking for a Freelance C++ and Qt Developer who will be responsible for developing and maintaining software for their cutting-edge medical devices. The successful candidate will work closely with their engineering and product teams to design, implement, and optimize user interfaces and backend logic, ensuring the products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C++ and Qt frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop technical specifications.
- Implement and integrate software components for medical device applications.
- Optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance and reliability.
- Develop and execute unit tests to ensure software quality and stability.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner.
- Document software design, code, and processes for future reference.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software development, particularly in the medical device sector.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a C++ Developer, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Proficiency in Qt framework for developing graphical user interfaces and cross-platform applications.
- Experience with software development in a regulated environment, preferably in the medical device industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional French Speaking ability
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).
- Knowledge of signal processing and data analysis in a medical context.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and communication interfaces (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
