Job Overview :



The Assistant to the Head of Wholesale will act as the primary liaison between Café du Cycliste and its retail partners. The goal of this role is to develop and maintain long-term relationships with current and potential retailers, ensuring excellent service and support to enhance Café du Cycliste's market presence.


Cycling industry Knowledge is highly recommended



Key Responsibilities :


Retail Partner Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Café du Cycliste retailers.
  • Develop and sustain long-term relationships with retail partners to support their growth and sales performance.

Customer Engagement:

  • Reach out to existing customers to propose commercial offers and promotions.
  • Gather feedback on product performance and relay it to the relevant departments.
  • Share promotional materials and product information to keep partners informed and engaged.

Business Development:

  • Identify and contact potential customers to promote Café du Cycliste’s vision, values, and principles.
  • Conduct outbound telephone calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings to close sales and expand market presence.
  • Gather and analyze market information to identify trends and opportunities for growth.

Customer Service and Support:

  • Provide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries.
  • Coordinate sample shipments and manage returns efficiently.

• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service.

Order Management:

  • Manage pre-orders, re-orders, and prepare order proposals.
  • Process orders using internal platforms and coordinate shipments with other departments to ensure

timely delivery.

Sales Administration (Accounts Receivable Management):

  • Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely payment from retail partners.
  • Reconcile accounts and coordinate with the finance department to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare and send invoices, track payments, and manage overdue accounts.
  • Work closely with retail partners to address any billing issues or payment delays.

Field Visits and Industry Events:

  • Visit commercial partners in France and abroad as required to strengthen relationships and gather market insights.
  • Attend industry fairs and exhibitions to represent Café du Cycliste and expand its network.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide precise and timely weekly activity reports to the channel manager.
  • Analyze sales performance and market trends to inform strategic decisions.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop incentives and promotions that drive sales.
  • Utilize marketing materials and campaigns to support retail partners in boosting their sales.

Qualifications :

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in wholesale, sales, or customer service in the retail or cycling industry.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Experience with accounts receivable management and financial reconciliation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Language: Fluent in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus.
  • Other: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Understanding of the cycling industry and retail market dynamics.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.

Base pay range

  • 25 to 30 k€ depending on experience.
  • Annual company performance bonus of up to 1 month of your gross salary
  • Hybrid working schedule if wanted / Flexible working hours
  • Choice of laptop
