Darwin Recruitment are currently looking for a Senior RF Engineer for a business in Toulouse that was founded in 2022 also has an office in Paris, currently has around 17+ employees looking to increase their head count across 2024. This business is on a mission to deploy a disruptive solution of telecommunication satellites which will enable telecom operators to deliver high speed, low latency internet connectivity to their clients in a sustainable and affordable manner where terrestrial networks are not available. Having access to information and digital services is indispensable n todays world, and at this business, they believe that everyone on Earth should have access to high quality internet connectivity. Their ambition is to develop, deploy and operate a disruptive constellation of telecommunication satellites that will deliver high speed, low latency internet connectivity to every corner of the globe. This will enable telecom and mobility operators to provide high performance internet to their clients in a sustainable and affordable manner where terrestrial networks are not available.
The role will be to work with their supplier to adapt the design of their active antenna to something that can be mass produced and operate in the space environment. They require the IP rights for the Antenna so the Engineering will be very hands on (with all the right tools). You would be partnered with colleagues who understand the industrial processes and the space environment, but you would need to make sure the Antenna still meets the performance requirements once the others have made their recommendations and work with them to find the best compromises.
Skills and Experience
· Minimum Master's level qualification in Telecommunications, Engineering or a related discipline
· Minimum of 5+ years Radio Frequency experience
· Experience with Electronically Steered Antenna's is Essential
· Knowledge of Satellite constellation mission planning and operations is a plus
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English
