Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Team Leader(Chief Scientist) to guide and manage a highly skilled team of AI scientists focused on training, optimizing, and researching Large Language Models (LLMs) and cutting-edge AI techniques. This leadership role involves overseeing LLM model development, fostering innovation, and ensuring the team’s research output aligns with the company's strategic AI objectives. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in the AI/ML domain, with extensive hands-on experience in LLMs and next-gen AI, and a strong track record in driving impactful research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Manage AI Research Team: Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to a team of 10-15 AI scientists working on LLM training, optimization, and next-generation AI projects.
• Strategic Vision & Roadmap: Define and drive the strategic direction of AI research initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and product vision.
• Oversee Research & Development: Oversee the design, training, and fine-tuning of LLMs, as well as research in LLM agents, world models, and physics-based AI. Ensure the highest quality of research output, including publishing in top-tier conferences and contributing to open-source projects.
• Collaboration & Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the AI team and senior management. Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and across departments.
• Talent Development: Mentor and develop AI scientists, fostering an innovative and supportive environment to maximize their potential and drive breakthrough research.
• Thought Leadership: Stay on top of the latest advancements in AI/ML research, represent the organization in global AI conferences, and contribute to establishing the company as a leader in LLM research.
• Basic Requirements:
• More than 4 years of experience in training, inference, and data science research on language models, multimodal large models , AI agents or other similar fields , associate professor or equivalent academic reputation, with a solid research foundation in machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the research frontiers of large models.
• Has one or more representative works related to LLMs (citations > 500).
• Able to delve into details and have some prototype engineering experience, with a keen sense of business applications.

Preferred

• 2+ years industry experience, demonstrated expertise in training and optimizing LLMs .

• Active in academia in the past two years, H-Index > 20.

• Has good academic influence, has served as Area Chair / Program Chair at top international conferences.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of articulating complex research insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
