Senior Technical Designer

We are searching for a talented designer-programmer hybrid who will collaborate with both the engineering and design teams to join its game design team working on an unannounced project in Unreal Engine 5.
If you are always trying to think one step ahead, believe in the practice of rapid prototyping and relentless iteration, it feels like home when you launch the Unreal engine, and you like to challenge the ideas of others, and to be challenged in return you might be the technical game designer we have been looking for to join our team
Your day to day:
- Develop and prototype game concepts and systems in line with the vision of the Game Director and the design team.
- Own your work from initial design documentation to implementation of blueprint logic and connection to native code. Help others understand how these systems work and why we are building them.
- Collaborate with developers, ensuring the best technical practices in Unreal are being followed by the design team.
- Work with engineers and artists to ensure designs can be easily implemented and iterated on or reworked while managing performance.
- Debate, present, and document concepts clearly and concisely.
- Champion the game features to the wider team, overseeing them from ideation to full implementation.
- Explore all streams of media and life to better player experience according to the goals and vision for our project.
- Regularly seek and provide feedback from the wider team.
- Assist in the development of the tools and systems necessary to deliver game features to the highest possible quality.
We are looking for someone with the following background and skills:
- An experienced engineer who has shipped at least two games in Unreal with gameplay programming or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record as a game designer in a professional capacity.
- Advanced English level
- Deep knowledge of gameplay logic and Unreal blueprints. Familiarity with data structures and general programming concepts.
- An analytical individual, capable of deconstructing game features and understanding what makes them stand out.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently, sharing updates regularly
- An individual with experience in rapid prototyping.
- A passionate gamer with a love for action and multiplayer games.
- Always updating your knowledge and looking for new ways to do things.
- Experience working on a multiplayer game or an RPG and a love of the systems underpinning this genre is a plus.
- Experience in leading a cross-disciplinary team in the delivery of high-quality features and content is a plus.
