SOFREGAZ is an international engineering company covering the full spectrum of natural gas, liquid hydrocarbons, new energies such as hydrogen and NH3 and CO2 (Carbone captured utilisation, liquefaction and storage). Furthermore, SOFREGAZ is a worldwide recognized engineering specialist for LNG solutions. SOFREGAZ projects are ranging from conceptual studies, to FEED studies, detailed engineering and small to medium EPCs.

SOFREGAZ is recruiting a Package Manager/ Buyer with experience in gas industry (LNG expertise is a plus), to strengthen its teams and participate in national and international energy projects.

The main role of the Package Manager / Buyer is to manage SOFREGAZ’s procurement activities both for estimation during the EPC bidding phase or FEED and for purchasing during the EPC Execution.


Key Responsibilities:


Procurement Management:


  • Define and prepare detailed purchasing plans for assigned equipment or service packages.
  • Launch and manage procurement processes, including issuing RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and RFPs (Requests for Proposal).
  • Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations in coordination with the engineering and project teams.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on project requirements.
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Regularly review supplier performance in terms of on-time delivery, quality, and compliance with project standards.


Contract and Risk Management:


In coordination with the project manager and legal advisor :


  • Negotiate and finalize supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Monitor and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, pricing fluctuations, and contract execution.
  • Ensure alignment with internal stakeholders on contractual terms, deadlines, and delivery schedules.


Package Coordination:


  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination between procurement and project execution.
  • Manage documentation related to procurement packages, including technical specifications, quality control reports, and delivery records.
  • Track progress, address issues, and provide regular updates on procurement status to project teams.


Cost Control and Budgeting:


  • Develop and manage procurement budgets for packages, ensuring alignment with the overall project budget.
  • Monitor and report on cost variances and ensure all procurement activities are within approved budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or project timelines.
  • Work closely with the cost estimate lead to maintain SOFREGAZ estimation internal database


Technical skills and personal capacities


Technical and Professional Skills:


  • Background in engineering or a related technical field. Familiarity with industry standards, particularly within industrial projects (e.g., Oil & Gas, energy, construction).
  • Experience in procurement for equipment and service packages.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical specifications and contracts.


Behavioral Skills:


  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage suppliers and stakeholders effectively under time constraints.


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or package management in industrial projects.
  • Experience in projects in sectors such as Oil & Gas, energy, or construction is preferred but not mandatory.


Languages


Fluency in English is essential.
