Position Summary

As a Technical & Implementation lead working within the software engineering departments Automation team, your primary role will be aiding the delivery of the applications the team produces by sharing technical experience to assist with the products development, and consultation with other business areas to manage application deployment and continued use. You will be required to assist in understanding technical requirements, working closely with our Business Analysts to ensure requirements are accurately captured, and members of the development team to help provide clarity. Additionally, where requested, you will be expected to perform R&D or proof of concept tasks. Your role as an implementation lead will require you to plan and oversee the launch of applications within internal business units, manage the continued use of those tools, and support the full rollout phase. This may involve communication direct with clients where necessary. As an experienced member of the team, you will be expected to offer help and guidance to other members to support their industry knowledge and learning, particularly with regards to the production side of the business.



Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Results

Automation Team Member:

▪ Ensure the on-time delivery of key projects impacting implementations and the teams roadmap.

▪ Follow the Automation teams Ways of Working.


Technical Assistance:

▪ Liaison with team members to ensure clarity of the solution(s) being developed, and impact for the end user.

▪ Assisting the Business Analyst with their translation of technical stakeholder requirements into suitable development requirements.

▪ R&D to help support the feasibility of a project and determine its value to the business.


Implementation Lead:

▪Overseeing software implementations / rollouts.

▪ Providing training, support and documentation to internal and external users.

▪ Manage implementation time frames and resources to ensure on-time delivery.


Communications:

▪ Acting as an intermediary between the project stakeholder(s) and the software development team members.

▪ Analyse implementation feedback, ensuring user uptake and satisfaction, and assisting to shape the development roadmap.


Mentor:

▪ Supporting team members through technical knowledge sharing and industry experience.


Skills & Experience

  • Experience in packaging artwork production using Adobe Illustrator or similar software packages
  • Demonstrable experience of data-driven / automation tools or techniques such as Esko Dynamic Content, Adobe extendScript or other equivalents would be a distinct advantage
  • Keen interest in technology and automation
  • Experience training and/or advocating on ways of working to streamline packaging artwork production processes
  • Some technical experience (Javascript, Adobe application scripting, Excel macros / VBA) would be a plus
  • English proficient required


Fully Remote position - possible countries: France, Spain, Netherlands and The UK.
