WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM
Join our dynamic Marine and Land Installation team, our department plays a crucial role in supporting the company's ability to execute large-scale marine and land installation projects across Europe, ensuring top-notch quality and efficiency. This position would be overseeing all land based activities (surface, nearshore, landfall, HDD, land and civil works) The workplace is in Paris and you will be reporting to the VP of Installation.
GETTING A FLYING START
As the Director of Land Installation, you will be at the forefront of strategic planning, transformation, and operational excellence within the G&T Business Group. This role is pivotal in overseeing the entire land installation process, ensuring seamless integration into turnkey EPCI projects. You will lead a diverse team across multiple countries, driving innovation and efficiency to support Nexans' growth and success.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

In this position you will succeed if you are a natural at strategic planning as well as execution. To make an impact in this position we are seeking someone that are skilled at developing and executing long term plans, to strengthen the department but also work long term with areas that needs improvement. The overall goal is to ensure we consistently meet project deliverables.
To excel at the necessary level of this position we are searching for someone that have a good balance of people leadership and operational leadership. Meaning you feel confident in your ability to manage and inspire a diverse team of +100 individuals across Europe, fostering a culture adhering to our 4 behavioral pillars. Related to operational it means overseeing the land installation activities, monitor performance, and ensure high standards in safety, quality, and cost-efficiency.
YOUR STARTING POINT
- GRID / Land Cable / Civil Work: Proven experience as Senior Manager and experience in managing projects and handling subcontractors and Clients.
- Project Management Skills: Track record of project management for land based packages including GRID / Cable Installation and/or Civil Works. Strong capabilities in overseeing complex land installation projects and ensuring seamless execution.
- Risk Management: Proficiency in identifying potential risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies. Comfortable with RISK tools and systems.
- Change Management: Demonstrated ability to drive organizational transformation and implement change programs. Strong experience in management of change during projects/Operations.
- People Management: Experience as Manager og managers. Highly skilled in hiring, developing, and motivating a high-performing team across multiple locations. Cross cultural sensitivity and favourable to diversity.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
