Senior compliance leadership opportunity with this wholesale energy markets participant. Our client provide liquidity, trading and data solutions on a Europe-wide basis.


The successful candidate will report directly to the board and provide oversight for all compliance and regulatory matters for the Paris business. You will also hold the RCSI title with the AMF.


Key Responsibilities


  • Strategic advice on regulatory changes and impact to company leadership
  • Serve as the main point of contact with the AMF and ACPR as well as additional European regulators on occasion including NFA, CRE, Consob and FCA
  • Ownership of the firm’s Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Assisting with local and European Risk Management frameworks
  • Management of a local compliance team
  • Oversight and approval of KYC procedures in relation to new and existing customers including sanctions and AML.
  • Market Surveillance oversight
  • Updating regulatory rules and communicating proposed changes
  • Oversight, arrangement and monitoring of internal regulatory training programmes
  • Submission of all regulatory returns including Internal Control Reports and FRR reports


Skills Required


  • 10 years + regulatory compliance, internal audit, operational risk or internal control experience ideally within the energy or commodity derivative trading sectors
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of laws relating to Anti-Money Laundering, Market Abuse, MiFID and fraud.
  • Previous staff management responsibility
  • Fluency in business French and English is essential.
