Your Mission:


  • The Pricing Manager’s mission is to maximize long term revenue on the Getaround marketplace, ensuring that the 3 parties (Drivers, Owners, Getaround) are happy, meaning:


  • Total price competitiveness is ensured, so that drivers will decide to rent on Getaround


  • Financial interest for owners so that cars are available for rent on Getaround


  • Profitability and growth of Getaround marketplace revenue, so that the model is sustainable and profitable for us, and the carsharing market can expand



What you’ll work on:


  • Revenue Management : Ensuring weekly that total price positioning is right for several rental segments of demand, processing analyses of price competition positioning, analyzing performance YoY and WoW, anticipating calendar effects, demand changes,..


  • Pricing Strategies : More mid-term / seasonally, determine the pricing strategy to follow on different demand segment, update these strategies regarding revenue weekly performance and learnings from past performance


  • Data Analysis : Perform frequent data analysis, first to assess the price positioning and strategies, but more widely to perform various and deeper data explorations in order to uncover strategic initiatives, answer internal stakeholders questions, …


  • Inputs to squad : Challenge our current pricing structure and pricing models (algorithms) with Product and Data Science departments


  • Roadmapping : Participate actively in the roadmapping process of pricing : create business needs (in Notion), explain the problem, evaluate the expected revenue impact, the possible solutions ; if prioritized, follow up projects and ensure deliverability.


  • Performance Insights & Forecast : Contribute actively to weekly revenue forecast and annual budget. Explain performance to Head of Pricing and to other business or executive teams.


  • Commercial Policies : Collaborate with Marketing, Business Units, Product, to make evolve our commercial policies such as extension policy, commissions policy, fees, … to ensure they are acceptable by the 3 marketplace parties


  • Communication on pricing : work on communications and vulgarization about pricing, internally at Getaround and externally when communicating owners


  • New Revenues : Work with the Head of Pricing & Commercial Policy to identify and new revenue growth potentials for the company (ancillaries, new demand segment, …)



Who you'll work with:


  • You will report to the Global Head of Pricing and Commercial Policy, Pierre, who reports to the CO


  • You will work transversally with several teams, mainly : EU General Manager team (Revops EU), Marketing team, and Pricing squad including Product, Data Science, Data Analytics, and Developers


  • Your role is European: you will work from our office in Paris, for all the European countries where Getaround operates.


  • You will collaborate from time to time with our North-America team to share best practices and mutualize efforts whenever possible (global projects, challenging process differences, ..). We have in the team a Pricing Manager US teammate, managing pricing in NA (based in US)



What you'll bring to the table:


  • At least 2 years of experience in pricing / revenue management. You already have a very good understanding of both data and marketing aspects of pricing and yield management.


  • Strong quantitative skills - we need a business lead rather than a data scientist, but we do need someone able to understand and collaborate very efficiently with data scientists.


  • Strong analytical skills, to be able to do precise analysis to understand market trends, competitive environment…


  • Outside of pure pricing work, you are able and wish to tackle on “demand topics”, take ownership on quarterly projects, help other business teams to succeed, as long as it end up generating higher revenues for the company/marketplace


  • Knowledge of database query languages (SQL) and/or data visualization tools (Tableau,..) is a plus.


  • Experience with pricing at a marketplace is a plus.


  • You have a very good level of English.
