We are seeking an experienced Senior Bioinformatician / Computational Biologist to lead bioinformatics efforts in a mid-size biotechnology company in Paris. You will design and implement computational workflows for genomics, proteomics, and other omics data to support transformative R&D projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for large-scale omics data analysis, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.
• Conduct integrative data analyses to uncover novel biological insights, supporting R&D efforts in drug discovery, biomarker development.
• Collaborate with wet lab scientists, data scientists, and software engineers to interpret complex biological datasets and validate findings.
• Design and execute machine learning and statistical modelling approaches.
• Ensure data quality, reproducibility, and integrity by implementing robust computational frameworks and documentation.
• Prepare detailed reports, visualisations, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior bioinformaticians and provide guidance on best practices in computational biology.

Qualifications and Experience

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field, or a Master’s with additional equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in omics data analysis and bioinformatics tools.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages, and cloud computing platforms.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and high-performance computing environments.
